Afghanistan: 4 killed in attack on tanker depot
The Afghan government says militants have attacked a fuel tanker depot outside the main international base in southern Afghanistan, killing four people, AP reported.
Kandahar provincial government spokesman Zalmai Ayubi says a group of armed men attacked a compound operated by international contractor Supreme Group on Monday. He says it is not yet clear if the dead were security forces or civilians. Supreme Group could not be immediately reached for comment.
The compound is used by fuel tankers that supply NATO bases, said Ahmadullah Niaz, who works in the compound.
