Chavez: Let's pray to God for the Libyan people
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has criticized NATO's military invasion of Libya, saying that the US-led military alliance's bombings have come to target Libya's civilian-residing areas, Press TV reports.
“Let's pray to God for the Libyan people,” he said in a televised speech on Monday, the Associated Press reported.
Chavez condemned the latest NATO airstrikes in the country, as well as the roles of the United States and some European nations.
"Today we are seeing images of the democratic governments of Europe, along with the supposedly democratic Government of the United States destroying Tripoli with their bombs," Chavez said on Sunday, the news.com.au reported.
