Arshakyan: Greatest achievement of independence is army
Aghasi Arshakyan, a member of the Supreme Council of Armenia of 2nd and 3rd convocations, told a news conference in Yerevan today that there is no political implication in what he is going to say.
According to him, 20 years ago we voted for justice and hope while nowadays it is strength and money that count.
Arshakyan noted that the greatest achievement of independence is the army and the worst omission is the hard socio-economic situation.
At the same time, he called on to be optimistic about the future.
Regarding the domestic developments, the speaker positively assessed the dialogue between the government and opposition.
“Even fruitless talks are better than organizing unrest similar to March 1.”
