Iran offers Belarus 400 million dollars in credit
Iran has offered Belarus 400 million dollars in credit, national bank chief Nadezhda Yermakova said in Minsk on Monday, as the Eastern European country struggles to stave off bankruptcy.
The loan will go towards shoring up national foreign currency reserves, Yermakova said, according to the state-controlled Belta news agency. There were no details on the terms of the loan.
Yermakova's announcement comes in the wake of a billion-dollar loan announced by China at the end of the September, monstersandcritics.com reports.
