65 people are reported killed in Somali
At least 65 people are reported killed; dozens are wounded in an explosion outside government buildings in Mogadishu, Somali, RT reports.
Witnesses said there was a loud blast at a compound housing four government ministries in the K4 (Kilometre 4) area of the capital Mogadishu, where students had gathered on Tuesday to take exams, the Globe and Mail writes.
“We have carried 65 dead bodies and 50 injured people,” ambulance co-ordinator Ali Muse told Reuters. “Some are still lying there. Most of the people have burns.”
Eyewitnesses said a truck carrying explosives was driven into a gate near a government ministry and detonated.
A spokesman for the Islamist militant group al-Shabab told the BBC it had carried out the attack, the BBC reports.
