Vardan Minasyan: Pleased with result, displeased with game

During the Press Conference held after Armenia – Macedonia meeting the chief trainer of the Armenian National Football team Vardan Minasyan mentioned that he is pleased with the result bus it not pleased with the game.

“I was expecting to see a tensed game. The first 20-25 minutes were rather hard for us. The boys became more confident after the first goal. The most important thing today were the 3 points we got for which I am very glad. However I am not pleased with the game. Our team was not good in the first half of the game.

Karlen Mkrtchyan himself asked me to replace him as he had pains. He didn’t play in Donetsk for a long time. Gevorg Kasparov was not accredited as he had a high temperature, however he will join us in Ireland. As for Robert Arzumanyan I have to notice that he will not manage to recover and take part in the match with the Ireland.

Now the meeting with the Irish team is in the first plan. We will do everything to help our team recover and get ready for that important meeting.”
