Kyrgyzstan to become member of Customs Union of Russia
Heads of Government of the Eurasian Economic Community (EEC) decided to grant Kyrgyzstan's request to join the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov said at the intergovernmental meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council in St. Petersburg on October 19 that there had already been established a special working group.
EurAsEC Secretary General Tair Mansurov said, in turn, that chairmen of the working group would be appointed in the near future. According to him, they will regularly report to the Customs Union on the accession of Kyrgyzstan, the Russian media reports.
