VivaCell-MTS Sponsor of WebApricot Pan Armenian Film Festival
VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of “Mobile TeleSystems” OJSC, is glad to announce the launch of the WebApricot Pan-Armenian Film Festival being realized in the frames of the Golden Apricot Film Festival in cooperation with Webtv.am Internet Channel. The General Sponsor of the WebApricot Pan Armenian Film Festival is VivaCell-MTS.
The Armenian filmmakers from Armenia and abroad may participate in WebApricot Pan-Armenian Film Festival. The Competition is open for all films up to 20 minutes, without genre limitation: feature, documentary, animated and etc. No restriction is also for technical means by which a film was made.
“The world is driving in a fast pace towards web and web interaction solutions. Armenia should not be left behind and we will make sure to be always on the forefront. The possibility of realizing in Armenia a festival in this format shows that our country has reached the high level of internet penetration, and it is good that modern technologies are being integrated in one of the most important spheres of life – culture and are used as means of promoting talent,-mentioned VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian. “We believe that real talent and rich personality must be given the chance to be seen and heard, and we are glad to be part of this noble initiative. This festival will boost the creativity of gifted Armenian filmmakers who have their vision and have a lot to say but, unfortunately, very often face financial obstacles when it comes to creating films which have to meet certain requirements for being submitting to regular festivals”, added Mr. Yirikian.
The films submitted to the festival will be shown only on webtv.am Internet TV and winner films will be determined by internet voting. The results will be reported on December 25 during the Award Ceremony. There are established two prizes: “WebApricot” Grand Prize -1000 USD, equivalent for AMD and the Incentive award-500 USD, equivalent for AMD.
