Bako Sahakyan partook at a Sunday religious service

On 20 November President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan partook at a Sunday religious service held at the St. Leon Cathedral of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Los Angeles.

The Head of the State thereupon held a meeting with the diocese’s primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderyan, members of the diocesan council and representatives of the local Armenian community.

Issues related to socioeconomic situation in the NKR and further deepening the Artsakh-Diaspora relations were discussed at the meeting. President Sahakyan has highly appriciated the activities of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in preserving the Armenian national identity, cementing the Motherland-Diaspora ties and assisting Artsakh.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, consular general of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles Grigor Hovhannisyan, head of the central information department of the office of the Artsakh Republic President David Babayan, NKR permanent representative to USA and Canada Robert Avetisyan and other officials partook at the meeting, Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President reports.
