Orange Foundation continues charitable projects
Orange Foundation and “Shen” Charitable NGO continue implementing charitable projects, directed to development of rural communities in Armenia. By implementing such projects in the frames of this strategic partnership, Orange Foundation and Shen have in the center of their activity the children, their education, health, pre-school and sport education.
In the frames of charitable projects, two gyms have been opened in the southern regions of Armenia: one in Davit Bek, Syunik region, and the other in Malishka, Vayoth Dzor region. The two gyms, which are equipped with the items and equipments necessary for involvement in different sports, now can fully meet the requirements of the sport program of the schools. Pupils will meet New Year in a quite new sport atmosphere, and starting from the next semester, availability of sport equipments will enable to organaize properly the curriculum. As both gyms are open to the whole community and are not meant only for schoolchildren, it will aalow also to create different sport circles and events..
Bruno Duthoit, Chairman of Orange Foundation said: “Orange Foundation has children and vulnerable rural communities in the center of its attention and these are not the first gyms that we support in the regions. I know that both villages needed them, and even more: Malishka has very strong sport traditions, and the availibility of a gym is important to keep them alive”.
As usual, Orange Foundation and Shen NGO are not alone in these actions: local communities as well as USAID/CHF have had their valuable contribution, notably for the renovation of the gym. Orange has allotted in total 8 million AMD for the realization of the two projects.
As a reminder, already three other gyms have been opened in other regions of Armenia with the support of Orange : in Marmashen (Shirak), in Jujevan and Noyemberyan (Tavush).
