Seyran Ohanyan received Philippe Lefort
Today Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received the EU Special Representative for South Caucasus and Crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort. The two have discussed issues concerning the EU – Armenia cooperation in the area of defense, the press office of the Defense Ministry reports.
By the request of the guest RA Defense Minister has presented the situation in the contact line with the Azerbaijani troops.
Philippe Lefort has promised he would do everything to support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in achieving a peaceful solution in the conflict. “EU doesn’t like to see a new war in South Caucasus. The peace in the region is in the interests of the EU.”
Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has noticed that the Armenian side preserves the ceasefire regime and only responds to the ceasefire regime violations implemented by the Azerbaijani side.
