“Elderly people are called Soviet dinosaurs and are ignored”

“Armenians saved the humanity from cannibalism, turned the man into human and now it is the Armenians that face the danger of collapsing,” said writer Lia Avetisyan, speaking of the condition of the Armenian culture.

According to her today people with no sense of responsibility occupy positions which are very responsible and make anti-Armenian propaganda, “If the minister of culture puts the Armenian origin of Tolma and Lavash under suspicion, if the Armenian cuisine that has thousand year history is not accepted, then what do the corresponding bodies get salary for?” 

According to L. Avetisyan the responsible bodies are busy with show business only, and the TV presents only disrespectful approach towards the grown-ups. “The youngsters call the elderly Soviet dinosaurs and ignore them thinking that they have nothing to learn from them.”
