S. Sargsyan attends CIS heads of states informal summit
President of the Armenian Republic Serzh Sargsyan attended today the CIS heads of states informal summit in Moscow. Aysor.am correspondent reports the summit has been dedicated to the 20th jubilee of CIS. On this occasion reception was held on behalf of the Russian President Dmitri Medvedev yesterday.
All the leaders of CIS attended the summit – Serzh Sargsyan (Armenia), Ilham Aliyev (Azerbaijan), Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus), Mursultan Nazarbaev (Kazakhstan), Almazbek Atambaev (Kyrgyzstan), Marian Lupu (Moldova), Dmitry Medvedev (Russia), Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan), Islam Karimov (Uzbekistan), Viktor Yanukovich (Ukraine). Turkmenistan’s Prime Minister Nazarkuli Shaguliev has presented the country in the summit.
In the CIS informal summit a wide range of issues has been discussed, including the activities of CIS observers’ mission, as well as economic cooperation in the CIS territory.
At the summit the heads of the states have discussed the offer of the CIS Executive Committee on choosing the communication and information area as a key subject of the cooperation in the frameworks of CIS in 2012.
