Bako Sahakyan met OSCE chairman-in-office Eamon Gilmore
On 16 February President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met in Yerevan OSCE chairman-in-office, deputy premier, minister for foreign affairs and trade of the Republic of Ireland Eamon Gilmore.
Issues related to the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict were discussed during the meeting.
Rating high efforts of the OSCE in Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict settlement President Sahakyan underlined the necessity of restoring the negotiation format approved by the OSCE Budapest summit, noting that it would be impossible to reach the comprehensive settlement of the conflict without the direct participation of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic.
The Head of the State once again reiterated the adherence of official Stepanakert to peaceful settlement of the conflict within the frameworks of the Minsk Group adding at the same time that militaristic and anti-Armenian policy of Azerbaijan, which has recently assumed radical forms, is one of the most important hindrances on the way of solving the issue and should receive a corresponding reaction of the international community.
The President of the Artsakh Republic noted the importance of visiting Artsakh and acquaintance with the country by the OSCE chairman-in-office.
Artsakh Republic acting foreign minister Vassily Atajanyan, personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Andrzej Kasprzyk and other officials were present at the meeting, the Central Information Department of the office of the Artsakh Republic President reports.
