EPP Summit to be held in Brussels
EU and non-EU heads of state and government and opposition leaders of the European People's Party (EPP), along with the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission – Herman Van Rompuy and José Manuel Barroso - will participate in the enlarged Summit of the Party in Brussels, EPP official website said. On the agenda will be the preparation of the European Council, scheduled for 28 and 29 June 2012.
EPP President Wilfried Martens will host the EPP Summit. EPP Secretary General Antonio Lopez-Istiroz and the members of the EPP Presidency will also attend.
Angela Merkel (Germany), Mariano Rajoy (Spain), Jean-Claude Juncker (Luxembourg), Donald Tusk (Poland), Fredrik Reinfeldt (Sweden), Jyrki Katainen (Finland), Viktor Orban (Hungary), Enda Kenny (Ireland), Boyko Borisov (Bulgaria), Lawrence Gonzi (Malta), Pedro Passos Coelho (Portugal) and Janez Jansa (Slovenia) will participate at the Summit.
Non-EU heads of state and government Nikola Gruevski (FYROM), Vlad Filat (Moldova), Sali Berisha (Albania), Mikheil Saakashvili (Georgia) and Serzh Sargsyan (Armenia) will attend the Party Summit. Moreover, opposition leaders Mladjan Dinkic (Serbia), Tomislav Karamarko (Croatia) and Erna Solberg (Norway) will also attend.
