U.S. provided one billion dollars to Pakistan
Today Pakistan and the U. S. reached a deal for reopening the land routes that NATO uses to supply troops in Afghanistan, ending a seven-month crisis that damaged ties between the two countries.
The agreement includes a commitment by the U.S. to pay Pakistan over one billion dollars in military aid arrears. The money transfer has already been endorsed, said an anonymous American source in the administration. According to a representative of the White House, the funds will be channeled to fight terrorism.
