91 killed in Niger due to floods
Recent floods in Niger have killed 91 people and caused significant damage, according to a top official, Aghaly Abdoulkader, who is the director of the cabinet. He said the damage hit fields, rice paddies, schools, health centers, roads, bridges and dams, and large quantities of food have been destroyed and many cattle have washed away, the New York Times reports.
