Kurds blew up gas pipeline in Turkey
An official says suspected Kurdish rebels blew up part of a natural gas pipeline in eastern Turkey as a military vehicle was passing by. Twenty-eight soldiers were injured in the attack.
Mehmet Tekinarslan, the governor for Agri province, said late Thursday's blast on a pipeline carrying natural gas from Iran was caused by a remote-controlled bomb. Most of the soldiers suffered mild burns and none of them was in life-threatening condition.
