7-8 point earthquake recorded in Iran
A shallow magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit northwest Iran on Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, the Reuters reports.
The quake was centered 32 miles north-northeast of Tabriz, at a depth of 6.2 miles, the USGS said.
In Armenia the earthquake was strongly sensed particularly in Kapan and Goris cities of Syunik Region.
On October 11 in the distance of 11 square metres North East from Ahar city near Tabriz was registered an earthquake with magnitude of 6, 6 points. In the epicenter the earthquake equaled to 9 points. The earthquake caused casualties and damage.
It was 3 points in Goris, 2-3 points in Jermuk and Ararat.
