Rockets fired in Afghanistan
Insurgents fired four rockets into the capital early on Tuesday, hitting a taxi, the grounds of a television studio and the international airport, Afghan police and other officials said.
One passenger in the taxi was killed and three passengers were wounded but there were no other casualties, according to the Kabul police spokesman, Hashmat Stanakzai, the New York Times reports.
Mr. Stanakzai said the rockets were fired about 6:40 a.m. by remote control, using cellphones, from within the municipal boundaries of Kabul, from the Tara Khel area about two miles northeast of the airport. The area is semi-agricultural and the rockets were believed to have been fired from a vegetable garden, he said.
