What will the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge call their child?
The Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton, is being treated for hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, which is associated with a trebling in the chances of having twins, The Telegraph reported.
Rupert Adams, a spokesman for the bookmakers William Hill said: "When they first made their announcement we put out a price of 33 to 1 that they would have twins. Since then it's been cut to 25, that's largely because we are told that her condition is worsened by having twins, the reason she is so ill therefore is possibly because she is having twins and we've seen money for that."
Meanwhile gamblers are betting on what the Duke and Duchess might call their firstborn child.
"What we are seeing is very traditional names are being chosen," said Mr Adams. "There is George, Victoria, Elizabeth. Those names, royal names, are going down really well, they are all around 10 or 12 to 1.
"Obviously, we are also betting on some fairly strange names too. We have got things like Chardonnay at 1,000 to 1, and that currently is our worst result. I think it costs us nearly 100,000 pounds if they choose to call their child Chardonnay."
