94-year-old performer to represent Switzerland at Eurovision
94-year-old Emil Ramsauer will represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. He is likely to set a new record as the oldest participant of the contest, Vesti (vesti.ru) reported.
According to the source, he is the bass player of the Salvation Army band, which was the winner of the national contest.
The band is composed of three man and two women aged between 20 and 94.
As of today, Russia's Buranovski Babushki (Buranovo Grannies) band, whose oldest performer was aged 76, was the «oldest” ever participant of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision 2013 will be held in Sweden. The semifinals are scheduled for May 14-16, the finals – for May 18.
