Sakunts: Jangirian, and not only he, will later cry
Commenting on the verdict of not guilty that the Shirak regional court of general jurisdiction returned in the “Mataghis case”, “Aravot” daily noted that Head of the Vanadzor Office of the Helsinki Civil Assembly Arthur Sakints said, when responding to the question of whether former Military Prosecutor Gagik Jangirian will be invited for a questioning: “The ruling of the Shirak regional court of first instance has already taken effect. The court also took another decision: the case will be sent to the Military Prosecutor’s Office for further examination, it means that during the examination, all the prosecutors and investigators who had confirmed the charges will be invited to give evidence and explanations”.
In response to the daily’s observation that Jangirian neither considers himself guilty nor feels upset over what has happened, Arthur Sakunts replied: “Jangirian is very upset. During his last interview, he said: “Be it a wolf or a fox (he meant Commander Ivan Grigorian nicknamed “wolf”), they should find him. It is already a retreat. Feeling upset does not yet mean crying publicly. But he will cry later, and not only he”.
