Terlemezian” initiative to sue MES

“Terlemezian” initiative is going to sue the RA Ministry of Education and Science, member of the initiative Samvel Avetisian said during a talk with the correspondent of Aysor.am.

“Once we receive the decision, we will immediately sue MES because the election was not held impartially. The chairman of the competition commission Ashot Papazian is a close friend of their (editor: Anna Mnatsakanian’s ) family, and there were also other friends of A. Mnatsakanian among the commission members. On Monday we will submit a letter, signed by 700 students and lecturers, to the Armenian President. Besides, we are going to dispute in the court Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotian’s order, which is in violation of a government decision. The matter concerns the fact that under the government decision, a college director shall be a pedagogue, whereas Armen Ashotian changed that decision, ordering that any person with a 3 years’ management experience can become a college director, which is incorrect,” Avetisian said.

According to Armen Harutyunian – another candidate who won the election, after disputing the competition results, he managed to prove at the Ministry that in addition to receiving 100 scores in the written examination, he gave correct answers to all the questions.

“I am joining the initiative. We will contest that decision in court together. There is one thing I cannot understand: if they needed to make their candidate the director, why did they conduct an examination?” he noted.
