Financial ombudswoman sums up year
The Board of Trustees of the Financial System’s Ombudsman reappointed Ms. Piruz Sargsyan to her post. At the meeting with reporters today, Piruz Sargsyan spoke about work done in the past four years.
According to her, there was a growth in the number of complaints received and examined by the Financial Ombudsman Office. In 2011, the number of received complaints grew by 25%, that of examined complaints by 31% as compared with 2010.
P. Sargsyan said the number of received complaints grew by 63%, that of examined complaints by 175% in the period of January 1- December 20, 2012 compared with the same period of last year. In her words, this result was achieved thanks to the public awareness raising campaign of the Financial Ombudsman Office and the introduction of new financial services.
