Proceedings started against Aray, TechoLife and Vega Companies
Today the Chairman of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) Artak Shaboyan summarized the year.
He said that the Commission not only starts proceedings, but also supervises markets where some organizations have dominating positions. Such organizations were warned against raising their prices unfoundedly.
Shaboyan noted that at the Commission’s session held today, administrative proceedings were started against Aray and TechnoLife Companies because these companies had sent SMS messages to customers about discounts of up to 100,000 AMD, but when customers visited the shops they revealed that discounts were given only on some goods, but most goods were undiscounted.
The commission also discovered that Vega store chain’s action regarding up to 110% discounts was unrealistic.
The commission chairman stressed that SCPEC controls discount policies of shops.
