Gas price to go up?
According to well-informed sources of “Zhoghovurd” newspaper, a final decision has been made regarding the gas tariff: starting from April 1 Gazprom Company will sell 1,000 cubic meters of gas to Armenia for $240 instead of current $180. The paper says the agreement is already ready, but has not yet been officially published.
In all likelihood, it will be published after the upcoming presidential election. At the same time, according to the newspaper, the ministry of energy continues to claim that there is no clarity about the gas price and that the negotiations are still underway, while the ministers avoids reporters in every possible way.
