S. Demirchian has no reason to quit HAK
“168 Hours” daily writes that yesterday members of Armenian National Congress (HAK) got into contact with the leader of People’s Party of Armenia (HZhK) Stepan Demirchian, who continues his medical treatment in Germany, in order to inform Demirchian that rumors persist in the Armenian press that HZhK is likely to quit HAK.
Demirchian replied that he considers such information fabricated. He said he is feeling better and is expected to undergo the last post-surgery examination on January 22, after which he plans to return to Armenia.
During a talk with “168 Hours”, HZhK secretary Grigor Harutyunian also denied rumors that HZhK intends to quit HAK. Indeed, Stepan Demirchian has no reason to withdraw from HAK because he is not in support of active actions, he got into the parliament owing to HAK and he therefore has to reason to be displeased with the leader of HAK.
