78 proceedings brought against Armelectro Plant
Nairit Palnt has debts; a number of proceedings have been brought against it, in particular by VTB Bank and ArmRosGazprom. The plant’s debt to the latter company exceeds 1 billion AMD, Head of the Service for Mandatory Execution of Judicial acts (SMEJA) Mihran Poghosian said at the meeting with reporters today.
“We understand that if the plant stops operating, it will have a considerable impact so we are trying to make out a schedule, according to which its debt will be paid off,” Poghosian said.
Speaking about Armelectro Plant, Mihran Poghosian noted that 78 proceedings have been brought against it, while its dormitory is put up at auction.
“63 families live in the dormitory. They are either refugees or former workers of the plant. The agreement says that after the sale, the dormitory will be transferred to the owner only after these people are given apartments”.
According to Poghosian, a draft law is now under consideration of the government, which will help solve many problems, especially in provinces. The draft aims to protect people from eviction from their last shelter.
