Hrach Berberian becomes optimistic
“The government has turned its face towards farmers,” Chairman of the Agrarian-Rural Union Hrach Berberian said at the meeting with journalists today.
He mentioned the current problem of fodder, high meat prices. Cattle are being slaughtered now, and in the spring meat prices will increase further. A sack of grass is currently sold for 2-3 thousand AMD because of fodder shortage.
Berberian discussed diesel fuel and nitrogen fertilizer subsidies provided by the government. According to him, there is a sufficient amount of fertilizers to meet the country’s demand. State procurements of fuel and fertilizers will be organized, whereas last year no tenders were held for procurement.
