Investigators release new information in Hayrikian case

New information has been released about the investigation into the presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikian’s attempted murder case conducted by the Investigation Department of the RA National Security Service.

“As already announced, two men were arrested on suspicion of having committed an attempted murder against Paruyr Hayrikian. A Nagant revolver was found in the apartment of one of the suspects. The revolver was found based on evidence of the suspect Khachatur Poghosian’s wife. The weapon was seized and sent for ballistics examination.

The investigation body has already received the experts’ conclusion, which says that the two 7.62 mm caliber bullets, found as a result of the search of the crime scene and also removed during the operation of Hayrikian, were fired from the Nagant revolver that underwent ballistics examination,” the press service of the RA NSS reports.
