Defense Ministry: Azerbaijan spreads information for domestic use

“As a result of the actions that the Armenian armed forces have taken in recent days to silence the enemy, the Azerbaijani side has suffered losses. In order to justify the losses, the Azerbaijani side is spreading such information for domestic use. The information spread by the Azerbaijani mass media does not correspond to reality,” spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisian told the correspondent of Aysor.am, when commenting on Azerbaijani mass media reports claiming that “7 Armenian servicemen were killed and 4 wounded in the past week”.

He stressed that unlike Azerbaijan, Armenia’s Defense Ministry informs the public about the incidents and losses in due form.

We would remind you that in the past few days, there has been sharp activation of actions of Azerbaijani special military units, subversive groups, and snipers at various sections of the line of contact of Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces as well as Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces, as a result of which servicemen from both sides have been killed and injured.
