Online reports about “dead people's voting” do not correspond to reality

According to the online articles “Dead People Vote Again” and “Citizen Discovers Two More People are Registered at Her Address”, Ms. Amahit Nersesian - the owner of Apartment #25 at 4 Zakian Street, Yerevan - was bewildered to discover that un unknown woman named Marina Hayrapetian, whose name was not on voters lists during the previous national elections, was illegally registered at the same address. 

This statement does not correspond to reality, a report of the Armenian Police says.

The police provided information that Marina Hayrapetian is the former owner of apartment #25 at 4 Zakian Street and she was registered at the indicated address al long ago as 1996. Therefore, A. Nersesian’s statement that the data on M. Hayrapetian was absent from the voter lists during previous national elections is not true.

It was not until 18 February, 2013, that A. Nersesian submitted an application to strike the former owner of her apartment off the register.
