Police: Phone call about registration of unknown men is untrue
The mass media spread information that the owner of apartment # 40 of building 1 in Yeritasardutyan 1st Lane in the city of Abovian, Valery Harutyunian, discovered that two unknown men, Gagik Vardumian (born in 1957) and Hrayr Avetian (born in 1957) were registered at the indicated address.
This information does not correspond to reality.
Gagik Vardumian was registered at the abovementioned address as long ago as June 17, 1978.
The Armenian police have repeatedly provided explanations regarding the rights of dwelling space owners. These explanations have been also available at www.police.am.
In particular, the property owner has the right to file a written application to the passport unit of the property location and request that a person, who was registered at the dwelling space but has no right to own or use the property, be crossed off the register.
As regards the other man, Hrayr Avetian, he was registered at apartment # 40 of building 1 in Yeritasardakan 1st Lane on August 29, 2011 based on written consent of Valery Harutyunian.
