Workshop on tax reforms conducted in Yerevan

A workshop titled “Tax Reforms and Business Development Assistance” started in Yerevan today.

Representative of the State Revenue Committee Ashot Semerjian made opening remarks. He discussed in detail the package of tax reforms introduced in 2013, noting that measures relating to awareness and training were taken in January and February of this year. Tax payers and the SRC staff were introduced to the legislative changes, particularly the amendments to the Law on Turnover Tax and the Law on Income Tax.

Semerjian said some problems, including ones related to connection interruptions, have arisen since taxpayers began to file their statements electronically. These problems have mainly been solved.

The workshop was attended by employees of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, SRC, as well as representatives of private enterprises, NGOs, and international organizations.
