Armenian Mountaineering Federation marks its second anniversary
The Armenian Federation of Mountaineering and Hiking marks the second anniversary of its foundation. The federation has made notable achievements in two years, in particular a skyrunning championship was held in Armenia for the first time.
One of Armenian sportsmen attended the courses of Central Mountaineering School in Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia. Armenian mountaineers have conquered the summits of Mount Demavend in Iran, Mounts Kazbek and Ushba in Georgia, Elbrus, and Ararat.
Armenian Ministry of Sport has recently granted the Mountaineering and Hiking Federation status of a national federation.
