Constitutional Court to examine candidates’ applications within 24 hours
Presidential candidates Raffi Hovannisian and Andrias Ghukasian appealed to Armenia’s Constitutional Court on March 4, 2013, exercising their right – under Article 100 Clause 3.1 and Article 101 Clause 9 of the Constitution - to dispute the Central Election Commission’s Decision on Election of the President of the Republic of Armenia No 62-A of 25 February 2013, the press service of the Constitutional Court said.
Under Article 19 of the RA Constitutional Court Rules, a preliminary study of an application shall be completed within 24 hours following the application’s submission. Then the Constitutional Court shall call a session to decide the issue of admissibility of the case.
