11th Festival of British films held in Yerevan
The opening ceremony of the 11th Festival of British Films took place in Yerevan last Saturday. The guests of Moscow Cinema had the opportunity to watch sketches performed by actors of the National Center of Arts. Fish Tank film by director Andrea Arnold opened the festival. Fish Tank won the Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and the 2010 BAFTA for the Best British Film.
The United Nations General Assembly declared 2013 as the United Nations International Year of Water Cooperation, owning to which the films screened at the Festival of British Films are dedicated to the theme of water.
During the festival, nine films created by British directors will be screened in Moscow Cinema (on March 2-7, films start at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm) and Nairi Cinema (on March 8-10, films start at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm).
