Armenia takes serious steps on business environment improvement
At the government session held today, the 2013 program of measures aimed at improving the business environment in Armenia was submitted by Minister of Economy Tigran Davtian to the government for approval.
The program includes over 50 various measures to improve Armenia’s business environment and investment climate.
According to T. Davtian, notable progress was made in 2012, thanks to which Armenia ranks 32nd among Western European countries. He added that more efforts are needed for further achievements.
“We must prove that our progress was not accidental. We now occupy a position between Belgium and the Netherlands,” he noted.
Under the Law on Profit Tax, certain privileges shall be given to residents that implement Armenian government-approved business programs.
