Zhoghovurd: New charge may be brought against Sedrakian
“Zhoghovurd” daily, citing its sources close to law enforcers, writes that even if the ex-presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakian’s involvement in the attempted murder of another candidate, AIM Party leader Paruyr Hayrikian is not proven, he will not get rid of the National Security Service easily.
“It is quite possible that the epos expert Sedrakian will be soon accused of money laundering as well, in any case it is rumored that NSS is now trying to clarify his sources of income,” the daily says.
Vardan Sedrakian’s defense lawyer Alexander Sirunian announced he is going to appeal against the decision about his client’s arrest.
“By the way, Sedrakian’s defense lawyer is the husband of blogger Isabella Abgarian, who is a supporter of Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian,” the daily reminds its readers.
