Constitutional Court rejects applications of Hovannisian and Ghukasian
The Constitutional Court of Armenia announced today its ruling on the appeal lodged against the decision No 62 A of the Central Election Commission. The appeal was based on the applications filed by two ex-presidential candidates – Raffi Hovannisian and Andrias Ghukasian.
The correspondent of Aysor.am reported that the Constitutional Court rejected the applications of two ex-candidates and ruled that the CEC decision on the presidential election in Armenia should remain in force.
It is noteworthy that Andrias Ghukasian was not in the courtroom when the Constitutional Court’s decision was announced.
Following the announcement of the court decision, Raffi Hovannisian’s representative, Ms. Zaruhi Postanjian said that “the Constitutional Court provided a legal basis for the actions of thieves”.
