Haykakan Zhamanak: Sargsyan plans to replace four governors
President Serzh Sargsyan plans to change four governors in the near future, “Haykakan Zhamanak” daily writes, citing its sources.
“The matter concerns governors of Kotayk, Armavir, Vayots Dzor, and Tavush provinces. These changes our sources say are directly related to the February 18 presidential election results in these provinces, “the newspaper notes.
According to “Haykakan Zhamanak”, information about the impending resignation of Governor of Vayots Dzor province Edgar Ghazarian may seem strange at first because in this province Serzh Sargsyan received twice as many votes as Raffi Hovannisian, but Hovannisian won in the regional center – the city of Yeghegnadzor. The changes will be made after the April 9 inauguration.
