168 Hours: Constituent assembly of HAK postponed for third time
The constituent assembly of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party has been postponed for a third time. At first the assembly was rearranged for March 22, then for March 29, and now it was decided to hold the constituent assembly on April 13. HAK itself has not provided official explanations about these delays.
According to “168 Hours” daily, its sources close to HAK mention three possible reasons. The first circumstance is that HAK wants to use the constituent assembly for its campaign in the upcoming elections to Yerevan Council of Elders, the second is the limited number of recruits, and third circumstance is related to the uncertainty regarding the status of Social Democrat Hunchakian party.
