Vrezh Galstian treated in mental hospital a year ago
Vrezh Galstian, the man who intruded into the parliament yesterday, was treated in a mental hospital about a year ago, the spokeswoman for Prosecutor General Ms. Sona Truzian told Aysor.am.
She said Galstian’s mother informed investigators about it during questioning. The investigation department requested documents about his mental state.
Sona Truzian said forensic and ballistic tests will be carried out. The witnesses, security guards who were on duty at the entrance of the National Assembly, and V. Galstian’s mother have been questioned.
Chief physician of Yerevan hospital No. 1 Karen Sahakian told the correspondent of Aysor.am earlier that Galstian was examined by a psychiatrist who said he has mental problems and should receive treatment in a clinic.
“Galstian is now in satisfactory condition and will be transferred to a regular ward today. After he recovers, doctors will decide whether he should undergo compulsory medical treatment,” Sahakian noted.
Let us remind you that in connection with the incident, Armenia’s Special Investigation Service opened a criminal case under Article 316 of the Criminal Code.
