Levon Aronian finishes fourth at Candidates Tournament in London
The FIDE World Chess Candidates Tournament ended in London yesterday. Armenian GM Levon Aronian beat GM Teimour Radjabov of Azerbaijan in the final 14th round.
Vladimir Kramnik was defeated by Vasily Ivanchuk, while Magnus Carlsen lost to Peter Svidler. Magnus Carlsen of Norway was announced the winner of the 2013 Candidates Tournament.
The final results in the tournament are as follows:
1. Magnus Carlsen - 8.5 points
2. Vladimir Kramnik – 8.5
3. Peter Svidler – 8
4. Levon Aronian – 8
5. Boris Gelfand - 6.5
6. Alexander Grischuk – 6.5
7. Vasily Ivanchuk – 6
8. Teimour Radjabov - 4.
