Vardan Sedrakian denies charge against him
“Sirunian” legal advice office issued a statement on Facebook, saying that the ex-presidential candidate, epos expert Vardan Sedrakian denies the charge brought against him.
“Dear friends. Yesterday and today journalists have asked “Sirunian” legal advice office to comment on the fact that Vardan Sedrakian has admitted the charge brought against him.
“We officially declare that Vardan Sedrakian did not agree with or accept the charge brought again him,” the statement reads.
We would remind you that by a decision of the court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nor-Marash communities in Yerevan, Vardan Sedrakian was placed under two months’ preliminary arrest.
Sedrakian is charged with ordering the attempted murder committed in January against another presidential candidate, Paruyr Hayrikian. A criminal case was opened under Articles 34 and 305 of the RA Criminal Code.
