Criminal case opened after assault on son of parliamentary deputy
The police opened a criminal case in connection with the assault on 19-year-old Hayk Akhoyan, the son of Aragats Akhoyan, member of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) parliamentary faction.
A criminal case was opened under the Article 175 (banditry) of the Criminal Code, according to the police press servie. The crime is punished with imprisonment of up to ten years.
Hayk Akhoyan was assaulted at the entrance of his house late Sunday. The assaulters used a stun gun on him and stole his keys and mobile phone.
