Danielian: Turks try to hide judicial acts related to Armenian Genocide
“Facts and opinions have no special value without judicial cats. Turkey is now trying to hide the judicial acts which were adopted regarding the events during the Armenian Genocide. Turkey does not want these acts to become a subject of discussion,” the advisor to the Constitutional Court Chairman, head of Constitutional Law Center Gevorg Danielian said.
In his words, the judicial acts adopted at trials of the Young Turks in 1919-1921 still have legal force.
“Today the Turks claim that these decisions were taken under international pressure. But the fact remains. These acts still exist,” Gevorg Danielian stressed.
He said that historians have done much work for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and now the issue should be moved to the legal plane.
