Harutyunian: For Iran, Armenia is a small window to big world
“Mutually beneficial relations have been established between Armenia and Iran, and for Iran, Armenia is a small window to the big world,” Director of Noravank Foundation Gagik Harutyunian told reporters today.
According to him, Iran carries out a balanced policy regarding Azerbaijan, but the issue of revising the Treaty of Turkmenchay is currently under discussion in Iran.
“The enemy of our enemy is our friend - we should adhere to this logic,” Harutyunian noted. He expressed an opinion that following the presidential election in Iran, Tehran’s policy on Armenia will not change and bilateral relations will continue to be good-neighborly.
He stressed that Iran is an important country also in terms of communication opportunities and alternative roads, and this circumstance should also be taken into account in developing Armenia’s relationship with Iran.
