Some officials will have to resign
A few days remain until the formation of the new government. The general opinion is that Serzh Sargsyan is not going to make major reshuffles, yet some officials will have to resign, according to “Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun”.
“Rumors persists that Serzh Sargsyan is dissatisfied with work of Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. His name is mentioned among the names of those who are likely to resign. It is not ruled out that Serzh Sargsyan will appoint the current Chief of the Presidential Staff Vigen Sargsyan as Foreign Minister, while Karen Karapetian will again become the Head of Presidential Staff. The main intrigue during the formation of a new government is usually related to the appointment of the prime minister. In this sense the government’s formation will not be interesting because most probably, the prime minister’s replacement is not expected in the near future,” the paper writes.
